About the Treatments That Saved The Damaged Teeth

With limited resources this patient was concerned that there was nothing that could be done to help save his teeth or ease the extreme hot and cold sensitivity he was feeling; and was considering very desperate options.

After a thorough examination and clean of the teeth the patient was happy to discover he had other options and happily settled on having dental bonding with composite resin which is a single visit procedure.

Before and after

With an excess of untreated tooth wear, our patient, a man in his 50s, was unhappy with to look of his teeth and the tooth sensitivity he was experiencing.

Composite resin was used to build up upper and lower teeth to protect the natural teeth underneath from future damage. All of this was accomplished in a single appointment.

Composite Resin Dental Bonding

Areas of serious damage where entire chunks of tooth were missing were built up by directly applying the composite resin on the tooth surface.

This allowed the cleaned natural tooth to stay in place and covered with a protecting new outer layer. Building up the shape of each tooth again also meant that the parts of the tooth that were creating sensitivity were covered and protected as well.
